Default What did I break this time?

Couldn't figure out if I should stick this in the alignment thread or the "my stock shocks are worn out" thread or one of the umpteen million "my saner bar sucks" threads, so here's a new one...

225/245 Sumitomo HTR Z
Saner bar
30,145 miles

I can't take a turn with > 10% throttle without wheelspin. I had the car put back to stock alignment settings... same thing. Back in Oct at Buttonwillow, I put Richard's practically new stock shocks (and comptech swaybar) on the car because the handling was not very predictable, but the handling didn't change with his shocks on (my original shocks are back on).

I've got all the typical banging noises going over bumps and dips that are supposedly caused by the saner bar hitting up against stuff, but I honestly don't see what it would be hitting. Of course, it'll probably turn out that I've got an endlink bolt broken, but for argument's sake let's pretend I've looked under my car in the last 6 months.

Almost definitely either a) you broke an endlink, or b) you tore a sway bar bracket off of your car. I've done both with the Saner bar.

If your problem's the latter, go to a performance parts store and buy an Energy Suspension sway bar bushing kit. Throw the bushings in the garbage, but use the bracket to replace the one that tore off of your car.

So this is a new problem since Buttonwillow? I don't recall wheelspin was a problem then.

I think you should first have someone else drive your car to see if it's driving technique related.

Well, I had a buddy drive it a few weeks ago, but I was too drunk to pay attention to see if it was happening then

Put the car back in the box it came in and return it.

You're clearly too stupid to own one.

*ducks*

Seriously I'd check the endlinks and brackets.

Ooh good point, maybe his fat ass is causing the car to tilt so much he's lifting the right rear?
