Default what happenned to this tire

This was a new set of 5 years old Avon-Tech-R's I bought cheap and ran for just one day at CMP.
This is a 40 treadwear R compound but when I took them off after just one day I didn't expect to find this on the inside shoulder of the left rear I think:

you can see how bad the wear is compared to the other tires shoulder:

I run 3.4degrees negative camber at the rear is this what caused this?
I plan to run hoosiers and they reccomend this sort of camber I just want to make sure I don't tear up a $900 set of Hoosiers like this in one day

inside tire spin on exit? that could help cause that. If they get too hot from tire pressure I think that can happen too but dont quote me.

also old rubber will not hold up as well.

yea you know I have definitely felt something weird going on out of turn 13 at CMP - its like I'm on the power and the engines making lots of noise but the cars not accelerating as it should for the noise and the rears fighting with me a lot

is this the dreaded auto-x inside wheel lift?

I would say so.
if you are getting revs but not speed its either tire spin or slipping clutch.
I dont know cmp at all so I dont know the turn but if your on the power and in a higher G turn with a rear sway bar or with out you will get inside tire spin

Your tires are old and you wore them down to the cords. Not really a 'mystical' issue.

it is possible to lift the inside rear at turn 13. disconnect your rear sway bar for a session and see if that fixes it.

Wheel lift shouldn't cause one particular spot to cord like that. I'd guess a manufacturing defect combined with really old, crusty rubber caused a section to just peel off.

yea its probably a defect or something that caused that bit to go but the bad wear is only realy only on that inside shoulder on that one tires, the rest look ok

-3.4* of camber is a decent amount. What spring rates are you running?

I disagree, it's not a defect, many R-compound tires will do that when they start to cord.
