Default Wheel question...

So according to tirerack and what I read in the sticky, I will need to get 17x9 all around for STR? Do the non-staggered wheels look odd? I understand 17x9 all around should give better traction than staggered but I'm willing to give a little up (if it's allowed) for them to look 'right.'

Plan to go with Enkei PF01s.

Thanks

Do mine look odd? Consider the cost/benefit of staggered vs non as well. More grip upfront usually means tail happy. Them you gotta consider your spring damper setup and swaybars. Lots to consider.

I think they look fine.
But, that's just my opinion.
I've got the TR Motorsports C3s in silver, and I think they look like they came with the car.
Wish I could have afforded the Enkei PF01 17X9 black with machined lip, those are some awesome looking wheels.
And just to clarify you don't have to get 17X9 wheels for STR, it's just 9" wide rims are the widest wheels allowed and 255 is the widest tires allowed.

Nah, yours look fine. 255/45?

I'm in a MY08 (non-CR). I'd want a softer rear if it's tail-happy right?

Sorry, I'm noob.

^255/40/17, 255/45 would be too tall of a sidewall.

Thanks, yeah, looks like TireRack is suggesting 40 sidewall anywho. Guess I will go with the non-staggered, and make a "pipe bomb" for the TPMS sensors.

Be careful with the offsets on the Enkeis, you may end up in non STR legal fender roll territory if you go with an offset in the Low 40-High 50s territory (depending on the rest of your setup). This is due to the amount of fender roll required to tuck the tire in the fender without destroing it. While it is possible, getting them to fit may require other things like Offset ball joints and high amounts of camber. /food for thought

Check out the str threads in this area. There is a thread each for sway bars, wheels, suspension and alignment.

These are the +60 PFs not the former +43 RPFs.
