Where to buy brake pads?

I have given up on the R4S for any track activities.. they maybe ok for light and short sessions, but eventually they cannot take the heat and will not serve you well.. fine for street and autox.

"The Carbotech P+ will work very well for both aggressive street and/or track driving. However, it will be too strong for auto-x.
If you are auto-x-ing 90% of the time, driving on the street some of the time, and going to the track, I have the following solution for you...it may seen complicated, but we do it often for customers who participate in different types of events.
AUTO-X SETUP
FRONT 913 KELATED METALLIC
REAR AXXIS ULTIMATE
STREET AND TRACK SETUP
FRONT PANTHER PLUS
REAR AXXIS ULTIMATE
Therefore, you will keep the Axxis Ultimate in the rear all the time, and for street/track driving, you use the P+ in front, and when you go to auto-x events, you swap out the front P+'s for the 913 KM.

Also, Andie wrote: "The braking torque (of P+ pads) will prove to be too much to controll easily in auto-x (solo 2) events. It just comes on too strong and these lower speeds. We've tested the P+ on auto-x courses with ITR's, C5 Vettes, and a few other cars...and everyone came back and said it was far too strong...perfect of track use, but not for auto-x."
Now now, no reason to be hostile. I don't think a recommendation of a product can in anyway be "stepping on anyone's toes".
Our experience comes from on-track testing of 10 compounds and building our own brake systems, which require insight on how pads and pad compounds integrate with the braking system of an automobile.
We are lining a back-to-back test of 3 compounds on our S2000 to be track tested in which the results will be posted online. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, brake pads are one of those things that not everyone will fully agree upon. You're welcome to your opinion based on your experience, and I am entitled to mine based on my track experience. I have been running and recommending Carbotech pads long before we added the product to our inventory. Try them, you may be surprised
ScienceofSpeed has already registered as a vendor sponsor of S2ki.com last week, and we are awaiting final processing to be placed on the sponsor page.

[B]Chris, I do not think you should be going on hearsay on track experience for the S2000 specifically.

Chris, from this your other posts, it didn't seem that you were 'recommending' but rather pushing your products. I'm not a moderator at all, so I don't have any control of what is posted. But seeing someone step in and immediately throw out prices, commercial links and undercutting current sponsor prices in other threads is something that is frowned upon - especially by current sponsors. But since you are choosing to become a sponsor of the site, I don't see a problem with it at all.

I'll look forward to your post regarding your findings on the three different compounds. Thanks.

ScienceofSpeed has performed informal vehicle testing in the past for Carbotech Engineering with namely the Panther Plus compound at various west coast tracks/raceways, on a variety of vehicles. Thus, I am sure some of Chris' recommendations on the Carbotech Engineering product line is based on the results he has seen in person, in addition to information provided to him by Carbotech directly.

Well I went with the CarboTech Panther Plus. I was very happy with them on the track. I had no fading at all the entire weekend. No cracking. I did not feel comfortable with them on the street however. The cold the stopping distance did seem to increase. I put the OEM pads back in and the cold stopping distance was much better. I am going to keep the panthers for track only use. One other thing that did seem odd about the panthers was that there was no wear bar indicator. Anyway, just my $0.02.
