Willow Springs - what a blast!
Sorry Guys,
I won't be able to make it to Sears Point for a couple of reason. 1. It caught me off guard. 2. I own $$ to the I.R.S. (To close to April 15) 3. Already made plans for that weekend.
Other than that if you have an Sears Points event again, I will be there.
Thanks for last weekend track times and driving skills are improving. Thanks and Thanks Josh G learned a lot from you.
Note to John and Aaron,
Josh G is good instructor along with couple of others.

Hey Keeney, what line did you take through the skid pad area? Were you wide (out by the cones), middle, or inside on this turn. I could not figure out this turn. Bitterman, how did you take this one?
Doug,
I take that turn as fast as I can
. Since you and I run Hoosiers we don't really have to work at all on that one. It's like riding on rails.
Uh... I guess I'm about mid-track, to answer your question. With Hoosiers you can keep the car much tighter than with other tires, certainly. Sorry, I don't have much input. Certainly want to maximize that entry speed though; otherwise I find myself trying to build up speed for the exit in the middle of the turn and getting power oversteer, which is what you don't want (no offense Frank Lin in the green NSX
.
I guess we should start the side bets again. I know Keeney will show up with Hoosiers, as well as a few other guys (assuming they want to put their money where their mouth is).
(Meaning into a set of Hoosiers).
I don't know how to use these damn facey things

the skidpad seems to favor a fairly tight radius... when practicing powerslides I take a wide entry since if I overpower it it tends to go towards the inside. this NSX is fairly undertired. 215/45/17 and 255/40/17 with not so grippy Kumho 712's. Can't believe how much tire some of the S2K had. 225 and 265's, and Hoosier's too!
I experimented with many different lines through the bowl, none seem particularly fast... But the best line seems to be go in very wide, then turn in really deep (hugs the inside, hard brake), and then you can power out of there. On the exit, you don't need to hug way inside...
I was a bit reserved there though, and didn't power out (WOT) in 2nd gear... I feather it. I'm on a borrowed car after all and I had to exercise lots of restraints and caution.
The NSX which was SC'ed (black colored BTW, how the heck did you get green?
was capable of powerslides in many corners... in fact I tried it couple times @ turn 4 the tight right handler (using 2nd gear). It felt very good when I was ahead of the slide. Very cool drifts through T3 (using 3rd gear!) as well.
(secretly in training for possible OTC domination in T4).

If I wasn't working so damn hard to win the stock class I'd get some Hoosiers and be all over you guys!!!
Of course, with my imminent knee surgery (???) I won't be attending Sears Point. Have fun up there. I'll be with you in spirit.
