Thumbs up Willwood 4 piston BBK Kit 12.2 rotors

... experience??

Now, I've Ferodo Racing DS2500 and stock rotors but I'm not happy. I've not a good feeling with the pedal and on the track I've fading in few laps, also in wet condition.

Castrol Response Dot 4.1 but I think that the problem is not the brake fluid, just changed before track day. Next time I will change the brake fluid with Motul RBF660, but now I'm undecided beetwin a cheap BBK like Willwood 12.2 or a new set of sport pads and rotors. The cost difference is not very large.

Some of the fastest road race S2k's here change out only pads and fluid. Done properly it should give you all the performance you need.

I'd say do the Motul and give it another go before you go with a "cheap" bbk.

Ok for the brake fluide (MOtul), but which pads do you recommend me? I'm not happy of Ferodo Racing DS2500. In Italy a complete set of Ferodo Racing DS3000 Endurance for my car cost almost like a "cheap" BBK in USA with a money change of 1 euro = 1,60$!

A lot of guys use Hawk and Cobalt pads for trackdays. I'm not exactly sure of their availability in your location however. I've used Hawk Blues at all for corners and easily exceeded the capabilities of my street tires... no fade and they always bite. They do though dust quite a bit and you should clean your wheels after each track day, the dust will bond itself to your wheels.

Tirerack.com sells Hawk pads and also raceshopper.com seems to have some of the best prices on pads.

I don't have any experience with Cobalt pads... however most on this board will highly recommend them.

Anyone care to chime in?

Cobalt and Hawk pads are not available in Italy. I shoud buy it in USA on Internet.
Are Someone using Willwood 12.2 brake kit?? Partshelper do a good price for this kit (1000$ shipped). I run on very hard track for the brake, like Monza, Mugello, Vallelunga... All my friend are using a BBK like Tarox o Brembo but these kit are too exspensive for me.

Do you have any experience of PBR Metal Master/Ultimate pads?? It's very diffuse on ebay motors.

Go to www.KingMotorsports.com. Good pricing on Hawks and International shipping. You can take advantage of the weak conversion rate.

Have you added brake ducting?

Brian.
