Default Window nets

Not a lot of posts on window nets so I figured I’d post up what I’ve been working on.

what's it attached to? hopefully not the hardtop.

If you roll over, the first thing flying off is the hardtop.

it is, I know the risks but until I get it caged it’s better than nothing.

All theoretical here, but I feel like that's more dangerous than no net. If the net grabs your arm, helmet or something else as the hardtop flies off, it's then going to take that along for the ride.

And, i'm assuming the net is also attached your door, which will likely get ripped out when the hardtop flies off. that item then can also get dragged across your body and hook your helmet or harnesses. If the door attachments are stronger, and the attachment point to the hardtop rips out from the hardtop, now you've got a loose bar/pole flailing about right next to your head/face.

I'd say that you're better off without the net... either secure it to the a-pillar or to a full cage. Attachment to the hardtop is a poor choice (in my opinion) as I think of all of the "what could go wrong" scenarios when your hardtop comes off.

my hardtop is bolted in I feel that the 8 bolts holding it on plus the extra strength from the nets may actually help keep it on

Has this been through Tech? What organization? I am in agreement thst I don’t think this would fly with NASA, SCCA.

Think it would be better to attach it to the rocker on the bottom and the a pillar and roll bar on the top?

My thoughts are to attach it to structural items that aren't going to move.

A-pillar and roll bar are good options.

This is what you should expect from your hardtop in the event of a roll over.
