Default wing help

I have been considering getting the APR GTC300 wing just wanted to know if anybody has any experience with it. How do you like it? is it worth the money? should i go with something better?
I have all the downforce i could ever want in the front ( custom splitter and APR canards) along with downforce side splitters and a Spoon diffuser.
thanks for the help
Blake

Please clarify what racing and / or competition use intended for the vehicle.

Be as explicit as possible with spring rates and tire compound.

The use of "better" when describing a wing seems suspiciously unsophisticated and nonspecific. If not for racing and / or competition use, it'd be better served in a different subforum.

Very cool that you're taking that beast onto the track. Make sure you get good brakes!

APR GTC 200 is probably good enough. 300 will work too. 500 may be overkill. It may depend on your level of driving.

Also, reading your sig, make sure you get a good diff for that R200. Factory diff was a viscous diff that IMHO is a step down from the OEM S2000 Torsen.

If you haven't purchased it yet, make sure you ask them for the "road racing hubs." I broke 6 hubs on their "standard" setup before they admitted there may be a design problem....

I think the GTC-300 is the probably the best option. The GTC-200 isn't going to be enough with all that power and front aero.

would the race hubs be the new optional ap2 hubs that come with the kit? im not really sure what my level of driving would be yet since i have never raced a car on the track. I have raced kart from the age of 7-19 and i know that they have totally different handling characteristics
also what diff do you recommend i use?

And just FYI, if you're planning on running a turbo car hard make sure you upgrade cooling mods:

Oil cooler at a minimum, possibly tranny cooler, heat shield the crap out of everything, temp gauges, etc.

It does have the potential to get very expensive, very quickly.

Also know that the Toyo R1Rs overheat very quickly. Like probably after the first lap's braking zone, LOL.

Also that the Toyo R1Rs (all except the 195) have dual compound. After the first bit of tread, the rest of the tire is like an all-season tire. Just caution if you burn through the outer layer on the rears before the fronts. It could upset the balance of the car somewhat.

Also also also, you might want to consider a sturdier roll bar if you're going to be going to have 500 hp.

Also also also also, people burn up stock trannies tracking. With boost, it's just a matter of time.

wow i really appreciate all of this information thank you CKit. i intend to start small with like here and there competitions and eventually go bigger when time permits. i am looking into that full blown geartrex 160 tranny conversion though. i think that should hold what i need. knowing me ill probably be going sideways through the first corner anyway so my tread will be gone quickly lol.

You can do GTC-200 + risers if you want more height, but not as wide as GTC-300. I have that setup from my Evo laying the basement. Don't think it will fit S2K tho!

If you want to go all out - one word - Kognition!
