yeah... I thought Ultimas were supposed to have huge plumes of smoke pouring out the tailpipes... I think there's something wrong with yours.

That must be an awesome car. For the 20 or 30 seconds John had his running well, I was very impressed. (Then it started smoking again!)

I'm a EE by trade. The electrical that comes in the car is a mess. I started over. Mine works fine...

Engines are another story. My first was a "crate" aluminum 427 SBC from world products. Complete POS.

I'm finishing building/installing an LS6 with a hot cam, etc and a dry sump system. It will be bulletproof.

I looked and don't have any pictures of the S?
I've done 4 events in it now and no pictures....

You're using an LS6? John still has the original Rover (Buick) motor that came with it... perhaps he should pull the drive train out of his Z06? (No wait, that's always broken too.)

The Ultima is such a cool car... the poor mans McLaren F1

John's is a bit older.

This is an LS6 with a Porsche g50 transaxle. 485hp 2280lbs wet.

Drool. Ultimas are awesome. Especially when you get rid of the British wiring

Good work!

Hmm. That's a nice power to weight ratio. 485 whp? Is it a G50 from an '87+ 911? Who makes the adapter to mate the bell housing?
