0 to 80 against a 3.5 Altima
This past weekend I was chasing a Z06 after pulling on a Mustang GT and wound out side by side with a new 3.5 Altima. He asked if I wanted to run so I agreed, but told him I'm not going to spin the tires (my car's only 5 months old with no clutch dump). I feathered the clutch at only 3000, didn't even chirp the tires. Meanwhile the Altima launched with too much revs. I actually pulled away at the light! At the the end of 2nd he pulled a fender on me but then he ran out of breathe at the top of his 2nd (I've heard the 3.5's do this). As I slammed into third gear I pulled slightly and ended up only half a car length ahead at 80, which is the top of third in my AP2. I was interestly surprised at the results. I know if I had launched at 6000 it would be a different story but even still, this guy was keep up in 2nd and 3rd. I did some research on the Altima yesterday and the 2005 have 250 horses with an option of 260. Is that right?

my buddy could only get his to run 15.00's in AZ with one 14.7.....but according to our infallible motor trend or other car magazine, its a mid 14 second car which means if you dont launch to well, he could be along side your for awhile.
I believe it, my g35 coupe (same motor, but tuned for 280hp) will pull my S unless I launch the S perfect, then it still slowly, slowy walks.
The Altima SER is a 2003-2004 G35 Sedan motor (260Hp). They are pretty nice actually, they come with forged 18" wheels to.

You should have pulled on the altima a lot harder than that. When I was stock I could pull an altima (05) easily all day long. And G35 the same thing.
The g35 coupe is faster. And it well documented here the s2000 and 350z/g35 coupe are very very very close, no one runs away from the other.
The 3.5SE Altimas can be easily beat unless they have some bolt ons.
It happened to me and that thing pulled like a car on me by 100 MPH. The thing sounded really nice, it had i/h/e and some other stuff I really can't recall. About going after the Z06s you should first check out the Flux Capacitors that came available last week for the S2000, with that you should hang.
