I see this guy's vehicle almost every day since I live on an airforce base. It haunts me I see it so much. Just seeing his car makes me want to race or even rev at it...silly I know. Finally, the opportunity arrives. We both happen to be dropping off movies at Hollywood video, which is right next to the freeway I ask if he wanted to do a couple of runs to see how bad he would pull me with his extra mods. We both had our tops down since it was a nice day and it's quite a bit easier to communicate as well. Thus we do 4 highway runs from 45-105 mph starting in 2nd gear. We used the very technical 3 honk method to get us going Without jumping the gun, I pulled him by 3 cars each and every time having reached 105mph. I even let him do the honking on the last 2 runs. Needless to say, he wasn't real pleased and wanted to know where to get a test pipe.

Personally, I think he was losing hp with the header. I am looking forward to racing him again when I get my toda header and v2 intake. Good times.

 

Wow good run. I was looking into headers and thought about getting the DC header since it worked so well on this old del sol I used to have. Unfortunately, everyone says it loses power and that's probably what's happening with his. He must be losing a LOT though, as the 02 makes a bit more power with the leaner running ECU than your and my MY00 s2ks.

 

Ya, putting cheap parts on an S seems to have some pretty detrimental effects. OBX is garbage.
