'03 ap1 vs '10 gti
I'm not sure of the specs of the newer gti's but I beat an 03ish stage 2 gti by leaps and bounds.. Ran it twice from a dig
borrowed a friend of mine's method of calculation (car lengths)
1st run - stage up
(gti)
(s2k)
launch
(gti)
----(s2k) 5,500 rpm clutch drop
end of 1st: 1 + 1/2 cars
(gti)
------(s2k)
end of race: 3 cars or so
(gti)
------------(s2k) 100mph shut down
it was something like that if i had to draw it out.. both races yielded similar results..

GTI's are only rated at 200hp. They have about 40-50lbs torque over the S but they also weigh about 250lbs more. Car and Driver got 0-60 in 6.3 and 1/4 mile in 14.9.
Compare to C&D's S2000 test results - 0-60 in 5.4 and 1/4 mile in 14.1...easy win.
But make sure it's a stock GTI. They can be made very fast with just a chip and tune.
