Well, Ive played quite a bit with our Z06 and that damn thing is a freak, that or it has mods we dont know about (bought it used) Even with my mods our Z06 still manages to pull my Cobra, I have pulled it a couple times, who knows maybe my car is making too much heat. Well whatever the case is, Ive always wanted to run another Vette just to see what the outcome would be. Tonight we are out just cruising around, and its getting pretty boring so were about ready to head home. We cruise down to the end of the street and head back one last time, as were coming down the street I see a white C5 get in the turn lane and flip it (illegally) as I go by. I slow down and was thinking he wont run. We pull up to a light and he doesnt do anything so I start to take off, he pulls up and slows down, so I slow down, but we couldnt run too many cars in front of us. I guess he decided what the hell we cant play so he floors it and gets in front of me then gets into the turn lane to go down this long straight road, so I follow him. As we turn he slows down and downshifts. I guess he was trying to showoff or whatever he would blip the throttle to get his nose in the air a bit. I pull up and drop it to 2nd and let him hit it. Well, needless to say, it wasnt even funny. I guess our Z06 is just that fast. I seriously put about 6-7 cars on this guy through 3rd gear if not more. Once he hit it I floored it and immidialtely jumped like 2-3 cars on him and once I got into the middle of 3rd, I thought he put it in reverse . Once I let off he made a quick turn and took off. Oh well, it was fun. Thats the first Vette Ive actually got to play with me (besides ours) most dont even look over. Well thats my story, just thought Id share.

PS...Ive been debating on getting a KB or a street bike, I'd love to get both but cant any suggestions or opinions?

 

Damn Quik, let me be the first one to say that you're also a freak (in a good way, of course ). Good kill, guess you know now that you got a factory freak or a car that has more than what's visible. Ever think of a C6 Z06?

I think I'd get the KB. If the cagers aren't too crazy where you are then the bike would be fun. Around here too many riders end up in grills. Bicycles aren't motorcycles, but a kid killed a cyclist while texting someone on his cell a few months ago. After almost 30 years in the saddle I gave it up.

 

Lol, of course weve thought of a C6 Z06 when I hit the lotto Seriously though, I would love to have one, but I'll wait until the price comes down a bit. Yeah im leaning towards the KB, the guy that has it made 580 whp on stock exhaust at 17 psi. I run about 16-17 psi right now on the Eaton. Its polished and includes the TB and 2 pulleys I assume 17 and 19 psi for $2500. Of course I would need to get my injectors, and KB BAP and maybe a new clutch, lol but then I would be done

Anyways I need to find another Vette now to play with, that win was too convincing to judge how fast my car is.

Lol, well this C5 didnt do too well I honestly expected a lot closer race. This guy that im thinking of buying the KB off of is making it to easy for me to buy it, so its hard to pass up 600 rwhp daily driver would be nice

BTW...I just put some BFG KDW2's on my Cobra 295 35 18's and they seem to hook pretty well even at 32 psi.

Nope never dyno'd it. We might soon, a friend of ours just bout a C6 Vette and wants to get it dyno'd once its broken in so we might take our 3 cars and get a discount

version...My buddy is thinking about buying the WORKS MR, that is a sweet car. I think they may have taken a few things off though. I drove it when it had their TR340 package with the Ohlins coilovers etc, man that car was badass.
