Yesterday, at a light, I was behind a nice looking red SRT yesterday. He was at the light, I was second in line. The guy sees me in his rearview, and starts to rev his engine. It had a desent pop, and I don't think the factory one's even come with BOV's. From the back it also had an aft market exhaust. I haven't run one yet, but my friend who's got an RSX, said one took him, so I wanted to see how fast these things are.

The light turns green, I hold back so I don't make his car into a subcompact. I expected him to pull ahead of the car in the right lane and wait for me to pull next to him, and then go... but he was on it hard the whole time. So I pull into the right lane, and by the time I'm getting ready to shift out of second, I'm already pulling past his doors. Mid third, and I see him in my rearview.

Shut it down and we meet at the next light. At the light, I told him his car was quicker than I expected, we chatted for a moment and pulled into a parking lot when the light turned green.

He pop's open his hood and started to talk about his car, saying he's got a stage 1 turbo (something like that), clutch, and exhaust, and can't understand why I walked him. I poped my hood, I have a vortec supercharger staring back and I tell him about it... and he's like Oh...

He was a cool guy. But I wasn't impressed with the SRT.

 

not bad for 10K less than s2k.

but i wouldnt get one.

 

LOL, I was wondering how you walked him if he had a 04 with mods, then I saw the Vortech SC.

When I say I was not impressed with it, I should revise what I meant. It was a nice car, and it did get up and move, it was about what I expected... What I should've said was I was not impressed based on what I've heard of them Plus the mods.

i got rapped by an srt off a role and off the line... he claimed to be stock, but no way... a few weeks later i found out that he had a stage 3 kit and was spraying a 100 shot.

Straight line power. SRT-4. Over-rated. Supercharged S Under-rated. That is how we end up thinking of things. Nice run.

 

He should take you off line even if stock considering 4wd (or I would think). Didn't need to worry too much about hitting him from behind unless he was just didn't move =P
