Default 05 AP2 vs. 240SX

I ran an older model 240SX that was probably swapped because I can hear his blow off valve. Must have been a SR20DET motor or turbo of some sort well anyways....

We were at a stop light... We both take off slowly and when I shifted into 2nd I can hear his revs getting higher. He pulls up next to me and we both gun it. We were pretty much neck and neck until I shift from 3rd to 4th and started to pull on him about half a car length. We both shutdown when I topped out in 4th. Pretty good race but I rarely race anyone on the streets.

What is suppose to be the outcome? BTW I have an ARC Intake and Berk Test Pipe.

How do our cars compare to the SR20DET motor? Thanks

My friend with an SR20 swap and some goodies but otherwise on stock boost pulls a car length or two from a roll. (And I have I/H/E/4.44 gears)

you're lucky. SR20DET's are not to be taken lightly.

Yeah... my friend has a 240 with an RB25DETT and when he has the car running on 10 lbs of boost, we are about even... when he cranked it up to 16 lbs of boost... he left me like I was standing still. That thing is no joke... lol. But I seriously couldn't stop laughing from the way he pulled on me and how LOUD it was.

If he only had a swap then you should have pulled when you went into third. He probably had a little more done(exhuast, etc.) so it sounds about right. We don't know how much he was boosting so either way nice run. be safe.

Hmm Ive just sold my '92 180sx, with manual SR20DET (and HKS filter and exhaust), and it was significantly faster in a straight line than my new 99 S2K... Its got mountains of torque in comparison to the Honda..
