I was driving at night in unfamiliar territory minding my own business. I notice a nice and clean MS6 driven by a younger dude (probably low-mid 20s.) It was a two lane highway type road. Not wanting to entice or race the kid I pulled in behind him at the light. He would go real slow when it was green then punch it. I was like good for you junior.

This went on for 2 more lights. Traffic seemingly disappeared at the next light. I was still behind him, not bothering to move to the free lane. The light turns green and its obvious what he wants as he rolled away this time super, super slow. Now I am just aggravated at this point. So I go into the next lane....as I do this he is on his car. Ok junior....you got what you wanted. I bang it into 2nd and my car surges even pretty quickly. I bang it into 3rd all the way to redline and junior is left dusted at this point. I shut it down at around 80 and the kid never bothers to pass me preferring this time to just stay behind. It was all too easy a kill, which is why I didn't want to bother in the first place as I knew what the result was going to be. I turned off at the next light so I didn't get to see his face.

 

you streetracing with junior makes you junior as well =]

I thought those Mazdaspeed 6's were real fast, like faster than an S.

 

I am 100% stock.

Stock MS6's are not that fast. 0-60 in 6 flat, and the 1/4 mile in the 14.5-6 sec range if I remember the mags correctly.

The problem with turbo cars is when they are modded; because you never know what you are dealing with since modded turbos can be absolute beasts. I don't think the kid knew how to drive that well either, wouldn't have mattered much however.

I believe a Mazdaspeed 3 is what you are thinking of and that would have presented more of a challenge to the S.

 

both the MS3 and MS6 are slower than the s2k 0-60 and in the 1320. the MS3 is more of a match on the hwy, while the MS6 needs mods to really compete, although its a helluva nice car, id pick it over a MS3.

the MS6 is about on par with a WRX speed wise.

NICE!! Just got finished putting a mazdaspeed 3 to shame. Not even 5 mins ago. Speed3 had no chance with a 2nd gear drop. I don't see how any of my fellow s2kers have trouble with them. Then again, im at 225rwp =). He heard the loud crack of VTECS wrath!
