Default 06 WRX Vs. MY03...

Have done this run before, it's around 40 outside so he's got that advantage,
The WRX is stock and I've got the K&N intake, invidia testpipe and catback.
He pulls on me very slightly from 60 with the top down, and from a 20 roll I think we're even.. not bad for a car with equal HP and way more torque... nice upgrade from the previous years of WRX's.

thank you for reading

I'm surprised by the results. '06 WRX is not much faster than older ones. What gears did you start in?

Subaru doesn't say anything about different gears, but only shorter-throws gear box. Torque increased 18 while hp increased 3. "Accelerations are marginally better..." That means it should still trap at mid 90s mph, hence should be slower than S2000. But hey, anything can happen on the streets; same reason some S2000s have beaten faster cars.

Who cares...so you lost.

I can understand why S2K owners frequently tango with WRX owners, stock for stock the S2000 will pull a WRX from a roll, and if you beat one from a dig you've certainly earned a nice kill. However, finding an un-modified WRX is becomming increasinly difficult, I liken it to finding a 16 year-old virgin (don't hold your breath).

My advice: leave WRX's alone, especially the 06's.

Remember, the S2000 is a Monet compared to the ugly-duckling Impreza, and in the handling department it isn't even a contest.

i pulled 16g'd WRXs and all kinda various modded rexes. the 06's seem to be much faster the the old ones, i've seen the new ones running 13.9's@100 or so. good runs.

Wow, didn't know the '06 WRXs were that capable. I would expect a S2K to pull pretty easily on a stock WRX.. maybe at least the older ones.
