[QUOTE=iceman241,Aug 30 2006, 03:43 PM] Is WS2006 stupid by saying after 2 years a mustang is worth half then what you paid for it? That is true but my point is you tell me what honda hasnt depreciated in 2 years to half of what you paid for it what a loser.

Thats cool, but why should we even care about the new stang Gt. If i were to give props to any car it would be the new Z06's

Hopefully the price range will keep the majority of them in the hands of old men/women who take care of them. Then in 5 years when they're around 30k (gas prices willing) schmucks like me can pick one up.

Old man like sideway?
To be honest w/ u, sideway is a little too conceited for an old man.

Damn, the trolls are out in force, aren't they!

Sideways built himself what he wanted, and that's a freeway bomber. I can respect that. That's exactly what I wanted with my ZO6. I still love Mustangs, hell I wish I had my old Mustang since I had a lot of fun in it. But I built that car to be more of a drag car. I'm a little older and I want something a little more refined, even if my Vette isn't as fast as my Mustang was. It's damn quick on the freeway considering the horsepower it's making and reliable.

Like a lot of guys on this board, we're fans of cars period. I like the S2000 for what it is and if I could have another car, I'd buy one. I also go onto 4 other boards too. And when I do, I respect that fact that it's THEIR board. When in Rome....

Its a joke for u to compair a Mustang with an s2000. From what i remember you should be going with a camaro and camaros > Mustangs. :D

My cuz's 2001 SS wooped on a 03-04 Cobra.

Actually, the Mustang vs S2000 is a good comparison for maximum enjoyment. :D

The Mustang is a good drag racer. It's a good platform to modify and make some major power. I have read the Shelby GT 500s will gain a couple hundred horsepower with very little effort. The basic GTs can be upped several hundred horsepower easily too.

It's just fun to out run a guy with a supercharged engine that is 2.7 times the size of mine. :p The fun factor goes up when the guy is out stroking his ego by picking on underpowered little two liter Honda 4 bangers. This one was maximum enjoyment. Getting to prevail in front of your buddies and watch the poor fellow's bewilderment is priceless.

I have run several of the late model Mustangs and had fun with all of them. Several GTs with unknown modifications, some stock '05 GTs, an '05 GT with N20, an '06 Saleen, an '05 GT with a Saleen supercharger added and now the supercharged '07 GT 500.

Here is a kicker. All of my races... everyone of them have been with the top down. Top up would improve the performance car lengths in the quarter mile.
Just maybe this is why these guys pick on me. Handicapped with the top down.

If I get beat I'll ask for a rerun and put the top up.

Hey was this Shelby Black with 2 gold stripes on the hood, roof, and trunk? I saw one the other day. It also had 2 hood pins.

No, that's a GT350 H Hertz car. They're rentals and they're just now releasing them to the public for purchase. They make just a little more horsepower than a stock Mustang GT.
