100+MPH
For all of those people that feel like they are the SH IT above 100mph, think again. It comes down to nerves when you're above 100mph, not many drivers wil take you on after this point is reached, so dont get so high ang mighty that you beat someone at these speeds unless you kne they're will to go the distance. There are so many post of "I was going 130 and he didnt even come close to me" that it drives me nuts. I'm not saying its every case but most.
DAD= Son?Daughter, make sure you have good tires in such high speeds, and a radar detector!

It all depends on how long you spend at 100+ IMO. My buddies vette can hit 130+ in a few seconds, and it's not even trying that hard. An S2k on the other hand, will take a while to go 130+. The more time you take, the more problems you can encounter.

That being said 100+ on a public street is retarded. There are too many bad/dumb drivers, little old ladies drving half the speed limit, people fooling with cell phones/distracted drivers that could potentially end up in your path with little warning.
I know we all do it, as sometimes you just can't help yourself...but that does not make it a good idea.
All that being said, the whole concept of this thread is dumb as shit. There is a reason the street encounters unofficial motto is "anything can happen on the street". Plus you're not doing anything but stating the obvious.
High speed is scary and dangerous on the street. Still I know a few folks with the capability to zoom up to 160 from 70 and back to 70 in under 30sec...which does limit exposure.
But absolutely...it is a good thing that people stop at the limit of their comfort/capability and it does mean that if the other driver wanted to go faster that the outcome might be different.
Be careful out there...don't let emotion write checks your body can't cash.
