It makes me squeamish every time I see someone accelerate hard to 100+ and then throw the transmission into neutral like that. It is SO dangerous.

Unless you are sitting in traffic at a redlight, ALWAYS have your car in gear. Whether you are moving, stopped, parked, etc.

When did that happen? I watched the vid 3 times and Phil let off at the top of 4th while slowing down?

Nice run against Dave. Looks like a charity sprint starting off in 2nd Can't wait to see Dave's completed ride.

Why is this bad for the car?

Say it ain't so!!! I have finally seen that infamous black S2000 on video! Seems like it was very reservedly driven, but still more than enough to beat that silver one. I think the black one started in 2nd gear, correct?

Care to elaborate? What's so "dangerous"? And "unless you are sitting in traffic at a redlight...", isn't that the same as when you are "stopped"?
