2002 S2000 VS Mustang
I was on my way home just cruising then suddenly I spotted this 87-93 Mustang about 10 carlengths behind me. He was coming up pretty fast weaving in and out of traffice. Well he was obviously coming for me because he caught up and now hes at my rear bumper. As soon as the right lane was cleared I switched into it to try to lose him because I knew he wanted something. So traffic was going about 40mph. from fourth I dropped it to second as I switched lanes while saying to myself" c-mon man, u got the cylinders, lets see what u got". so he follows me now im doing about 70 and he is looking to pass me on the left lane but he was about 2 car lanes behind me not being able to pass me. There is a red light coming up som im slowing down and yeah at that point he did get a car lengh while I was slowing down.
So now we are both in the perfect racing scenario right in front of a light. The mustang was really nice looking w/ nice rims and exhaust, it rumbled, although no audible cam or nothing like that. So light turns green and I took off at 4000 RPM's (too low) so at the start he got a 1/2 car, when I hit VTEC in second gear I started to pull away but suddenly I totally pulled away on him, I think he misshifted 3rd or something. He regained the gear but could not pass me for about a little less than a 1/8 of a mile till I hit cars ahead of me, He managed to get on the left most lane which was clear and just sped away. I managed to switch to the left lane but by then he was gone doing probably about 100 or more which at that point was worthless to me to try and catch him as there are sometimes cops waiting, and besides why speed away and not wait for me so we can have a clean race w/ no traffic ahead. So I see him at the next light and I see that he may have been trying to impress his girl How did he do that? by misshifting and beating me when I have cars in front of me.
