Don't know if anyone noticed or not, but I saw in one of the street compact magazines published here an article where they raced all the 2F2F cars...Don't know the "exact" results, BUT the majority of their 1/4 mile times looked like this:

The S2k believe it or not was the fastest I think at 13.9. The Supra was 14.3. The Skyline was 14.4 I think??

Thats pathetic...i could smoke every single car in that movie then!!!

 

Super Tuner i think did that test. The lancer didnt have AWD either. Thats what ive heard.

 

The fastest was the domestic they tested. low 13's i believe

 

The supra had a greddy single turbo conversion and couldn't even break into the 13s.

The magazine that did the test was this month's issue of SCC.

You have to realize that many of these cars had been beaten on, and severely out of tune. Much of it was for looks. The Eclipse that Tyrese drives is a regular 200 hp car (and there isn't a large aftermarket for thoses cars). Even in the first movie the red RX7 Dom drives is a barely modded car, also the green Eclipse that Paul Walker drives is a NA slow POS and they make it seem like a 10 sec. car. The fastest car was the Yenko Camaro in real life. They ran a 13.9 on Super Tuner TV with the Comptech S2000.

 

If the saleen was real it should run 12's.

 

The saleen was faker than Santa Claus. It was a mustang lx v6. With cosmetics. I went to the auction after the movie was finished filming and only the sky line was turbo. All the other cars had only cosmetics. And they were all automatic except for the s2000 skyline and rx7. And some of the Miami ski.com members were also there and can vouch for me.

 

I believe there was a mix of v6 and v8 mustangs. it was a GT (automatic) with a saleen body kit. I know this because my mustang was supposed to be that car, but unfortunately, it was hit in the back right hand 1/4 panel before hand.
