Default 3 S2000's loose :)

Anyways we always hear about the S2K's that win so i figure i'll be a bastard and come on your site and tell you about the 3 i've beaten with my GTI I no all 3 of the guys and 2 of them can drive, one is a 2002 with a comptech exhaust, and from a launch usually its even or he will get me and then by the middle of 4th i'm about a car to a car and a half in front of him, from a roll i can pretty much eat him up with ease. Another friend with a black 2000 with an exhaust comptech doesn't really no how to drive unless it's from a stop. I raced him with my eclipse and he would get me and the top of third but i've never raced him other than moving with my GTI and he's an embarasment to S2k drivers so i won't mention how bad i beat him. and the last guy with a 2002 with comptech intake/H/E I can beat by about a car or a bit less. I have a manual boost regulator now to help with the boost my chip runs and i've never raced them with that but my car peels out in the top of 2nd when i hit full boost so that's cool. anyways. nice cars i work for Honda i'm a tech and the S2k is the only honda i'd ever drive. peace

Well, you said the guys are even with you off the line. Then you say that you lose traction at the top of second. If they are even with you off the line and you have that type of power going down to the front wheels, NONE of them are good drivers to be honest with you.

Well as a former S2k owner and nonslanderous person I must say that what you are saying about the people not being good drivers for getting him off the line is kinda short sided. I think the difference in a well balanced RWD car and a FWD car comes in to play here. Lots of power in a front drive car equals lots of wheel hop, also GTI guy do you have an LSD? If not then there is your answer, that is also why he is getting the wheelspin in 2nd gear as well.

Just curious but what mods do you have? I easily destroyed a 1.8T with APR chip, intake, 3" exhaust running with no cats, and a short shifter from a stop, and I pulled him very slowly from a roll. Never lost though. I'm bone stock

I'd venture to say that there isn't a FWD car out there that can keep up with an S2000 on the launch - assuming both cars are running street tires and the S2000 is launched properly - two assumptions that will not always hold true.

It's very, very difficult to do much better than a mid 2.1 60 ft in a FWD car on street tires (not Drag Radials). By comparison, 2.0 60 fts aren't too tough in the S2000 and some people have even dropped into the 1.8-1.9 range. I've run low 2.2 60 fts in my CRX on street tires, but usually it runs in the 2.3 range or even higher if I mess up at all - and my S2000 launches much harder.

Did they all purchase it from the same gb or something? You must have a special aura that attract comptech exhaust owners....besides the CT exhaust is one of the rare exhausts. Who knows they might be triplets too. Can all THREE of the CT exhaust owners speak up...
