No no I didn't race him but I still had an interesting encounter with one this morning on my drive to work. I was stopped at a red light. Top down music bumping when a gold colored 300M pulls up beside me. There I am just minding my own when he rolls down his window and shouts out " Next time buy American" I looked at him and laughed. I said " Yeah you may have a Chrysler but, didn't they merge with Mercedes?? Your car isn't as American as you think it is!! Besides I'd have a better resale value on my S2k then on your 300M!!!" He turned beat red, mouth dropped and rolled up his window. As I drove off I waved to him with a big smile. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying I'm anti-domestic because we also have a Ford sport trac. But when it comes to sport cars imports is just my preference. Anyone else experience this kind of as I put it constructive criticism?

Good response.

I definitely would have laughed out loud and said "Are you serious?" or the traditional "Shut the Fu#$ up!"

WTF? Does this guy say that to every foreign car owner?

Your response was much more appropriate than mine would have been.

I don't like any of the domestic (american) sport cars in the US. Except the Viper.

300M isn't a "sports" anything IMO...it's a freakin' boat.

You said the right thing, Girlzrace. You never know people's responses to being flipped off or hearing F you. Just figure he's probably jealous of you and your car. I haven't experienced any negative comments like that, but I have heard one : "That's a lot of money for a Honda!" Not a mean-spirited statement, just not educated as to what the car really is.... you know.
