350Z and impreza
I had 2 different encounters today as I was driving all over since it was so nice outside.
The first car I came across was a blue 350Z with black rims. I think it may have been the track edition, but I'm not sure. I came up on him in the left lane stuck behind some cars and a truck at a light. I was in the right lane, and as soon as I went by he pulled into my lane. I was hoping he'd follow me through traffic as I switched to the left lane. He did, and stayed behind me.
Once he cleared the car on the right, he started to move up next to me, so I downshifted. We were going about 50 so I was in 3rd gear at this point. About the time that I downshifted, he downshifted and I heard him go. Anticipating this, I hit the gas. He started with his front bumper at my passenger door.
At first he pulled just a tiny bit, but then I started to pull. I had about 1.5 cars on him by the time I shifted to 4th. Wound out 4th and found myself about 3-4 cars ahead of him. I shifted to 5th and shut down at about 110 as we were approaching traffic. At 110 I had a solid 4 cars on him. He drove by, gave a nice thumbs up, and then turned off at the next intersection.
Then on my way to work tonight while managing my way through traffic, I was passing a blue subaru RS 2.5 with an exhaust in the right lane. He sped up a little bit, and then we were both stopped at the next light. As our light was nearing turning green, he started creeping forward. Yeah, S2000 > 2.5 RS. I figured alright, I'm game for a little subaru stomping.
The light is about to turn, and he revved up, just as I rev up, as we set to launch. Then I hear it the split second he gets his revs up to launch. BOV. Light turns and this guy put a good 10 cars on me from the launch. This car was an absolute BEAST. I don't even know if he kept trying, but he left me so far behind I might has well been in an odyssey.
He let me catch up, and we pulled over to chat for a quick minute at a gas station. The guy had swapped in the WRX engine, and had a larger turbo, and a whole mess of things. What's scary is his car looks absolutely stock except the exhaust he has. He said he's run 11's so far. That's an awesome sleeper he's got.

no this is my first 350Z run with the 4.57's.
all the other runs were about as dead even as they could be, though the 350Z has a tiny bit of pull above 100mph. i've lost and won races against 350Z's when stock. none of them ever being decided by much more than half a car or so.

Maybe you should run Sakred or Hammad and see if you can make it even.
