Just 10min ago I dropped of a friend and was minding my own business on my drive home. A set of halogen head lights appear in the rear view and a silver 911 turbo pulled up next to me. I looked over but the guy just looked straight ahead. No game. So I decided to just take off normally
But when the light turns green he just took off really fast. I was taken by surprise and way out of Vtec.but the sound of the 911 engine was nice so I sped up a little. The fact that I wasn't in Vtec and he took the jump means he was bus lengths ahead but....the next intersection had a red light and...he went into left turn lane. Since that's the way I'm going, I followed suit.
then he followed a BMW (I think a 2000+ 3 series) onto the freeway on-ramp (on-ramp has 2 lanes). Beemer took the right lane and 911 and S2000 the left lane. I heard his engine reved and tires chirping. As much as I tried to stay in Vtec it was futile. the 911T left the BMW and me for dead all I saw was disappearing red tail lights.
Damn!! those cars are fast
Gotta start saving money...

haha i hear that! A friend of my dad's and neighbor of mine has a '03 911 turbo and Ferrari 550M. the Porsche is actually faster than his $250k ferrari he says! Anyway, i saw him on the highway one day in the 911 and he recognized my car and pulled up beside me, gave me a big smile and just took off! I didnt know civilian cars could move that fast that quickly!

Porsche TTs are nooooo joke. Hell, with all of my mods I think I could finally beat one at highway speeds. With my stock twins I always knew I'd get dusted by one of those suckers--you're a brave soul, S2020

Only if I built the internal of my engine and run 15psi of boost.......that's the only way i could keep up with that monster!

What would win in a race from 80-150 a Viper or a 911 Turbo, I have always wondered?

Oh, I'm not surprised. That's a badass turbo. Do you know what boost he's pushing and what kind of rwhp he's making?

I have seen video where it seems that the 911TT X50 always got the start nailed (AWD) but from about 60-120 the Viper would catch up but at the very high end the gearing of the 911TT started pulling away from the Viper.
