Default '92-'95 Civic Si Hatchback with F20C?

On my way home from dropping off a friend I noticed a '92-'95 Civic Si Hatchback. I'm just driving by and he starts to rev his engine some. I decide to play a little and we take off at around 50 and he takes me out. <My top was down> He didn't beat me by much but beat me nonetheless. I asked what was in it and he said an S2000 engine. I thought, "No way!" He gives me an offended look and assures me that it is. Wish I got to look at it. Doesn't seem cost efficient to me though.

P.S. Oh btw, he works at the dealership I bought mine from. I think he's a mechanic.

He was bullshitting.

If he did do a swap, which I HIGHLY doubt, then he did a really bad job of swapping it since you beat him.

I'm just guessing he had a b16a or b18c1 (gsr) or maybe even a B20z.

The fastest b16 I've seen is in a CRX which runs mid-high 13s.

Now, if you run into anyone with a CTR or ITR, then that should really give you a run for your money. I haven't seen anyone with an ITR motor though.

Two ways this could happen...

1) He converted to RWD

or

2) he invented a FWD tranny for the engine

1 in more probably then 2.

Actually, he beat me, but not by much. The guy is a mechanic at the John Eagle Honda. I'm gonna go in there on Saturday and talk to him some more.
