One of the first races I had was against a guy in a white Mustang Cobra. Not sure what year. I asked the guy if he wanted to race, and he said he wasn't going to bother and waste his gas. And I said, oh yeah, i guess if I knew I was going to lose, I'd do the same thing and save gas. Well of course... them's fightin words. So he got pissed. I wasn't sure if he was going to go, but he revved up and dropped when the light turned. He got a jump on me, but once the vtec kicked in on first gear I caught right back up. 2nd gear I pulled on him about 3 feet. 3rd gear about another 3 feet, and by 4th I really started to pull on him, so he shortly gave up after 4th gear.

I raced and beat a prev. gen. Cobra a couple of times from a roll. Total about 1-1.5 car lenghts.

Now let's just wait for Steve C to tell us how Cobras are much faster than S2000 and how the Cobra driver must have been asleep or comatose...

They aren't much faster, but they are faster.

14.6-13.8 for the S2000

14.2-13.5 for the Cobra

Close enough that the outcome is never guaranteed.

Not never guaranteed?
So...., does that mean the outcome is guaranteed?

I think that I'd disagree on those cobras being faster than the S2000. Mustangs are the heaviest and slowest of the big V8's. But I do think that the cars are close enough in times that it comes down to driver. Even if the S2000 is slightly faster than the cobra.
