i was driving my girl home and saw a nice 997 with some nice rims. we stopped at the light and i was checkin out his rims. then when the light turned green i heard him launch so i took off with him. suprisingly we were dead even. this was my first race with my 04 ap2 and just wanted to share with everyone. yeah i know theres no way i could of kept up but i did. all i have is a aem cai

 

Must have been his first manual car and did not know how to get going from a stop properly, so he gave it too much gas. Then he started driving normally, looked over, and wondered why you were punching your car so hard.

What speed did this end at?

I've no other explanation since we both know that it isn't much of a race.

he must've been taking a nap in his 997.

 

997 Carrera Tiptronic 0-60 is 5.5 so not that impossible for an AP2 to stay close to that sort of speed so maybe it was the auto?

 

the 997 carrera base model only comes in 325 horsepower. Although he has some advantage hp to weight, if he shifted slow, I can see him not pulling away from you especially in lower gears.

yeah he launched like a half a sec first, but no matter what i could still say i was even with a 997, just because i was, and for everyone that says he wasn't trying, i know, either that or he didn't know how to drive.
