Default Altima SE-R vs. AP2

DETAILS.
I'm looking to buy another car and my friend happens to work at a Nissan dealership. Well one of the other salesmen and I were talking and he asked me to race him. I asked if he wanted to go from a dig but he declined due to his FWD vs my RWD, so we headed off to the highway which was a minute away. I think he had exhaust not sure cause it wan't that loud but it didn't look stock. Also had a passenger

THE GOOD PART.
Well we pull off of the onramp and he moves over two lanes doin about 45, so i'm in 2nd and i give the 3 honks and we're off. We are dead even for about a second then i get about a fender by the end of 2nd, 3rd i get about a car 4th i've got just over 2 cars on him and i'm doin like 120 so i slow down cause we are commin to a curve.

Passenger switches cars and rides with me this time. this time we start at 45 again, i give the honks and we're off. Even through 2nd mostly even through 3rd, i shift into 4th and get his headlight to my door and then we hit traffic and slow down.

Those things are really nice and pretty fast for a sedan, i was impressed.

THE END.

Wow considering the SE-R is well under powered at 175hp, that is a good run.

Altima, not Sentra. A Sentra SER would be far, far behind by 120mph.

my dad has a black one...very nice cars...exhaust sounds exactly the same as 350z / G35....sooo nice..and it even rumbles when you rev match.

they have 260 hp/ 260 tq....a bit of torque steer but not as bad as the 2004+ Acura TL.....i think handling is very good on it...havent really felt understeer yet, and im a "spirited" driver.

i think they are very fast cars...feels almost as fast as my s2k. my dad got the car as an impulse buy...test drove it and bought the next day, unfortunately he does not liek it anymore after about 5 or 6 months. i have no idea why, i think its because he had the s2k before and he loves the s2k. personally i liked our old 2002 Acura TL Type-S better. and if i had a choice between the SE-R or the new TL's....i would get the TL because i think it looks better and its an acura/honda.

also, the gearbox is very nice grinds 2nd when cold..but its almost as smooth as the s2k. interior is shit terrible and so are all the other nissan models, haha. other than that, the altima is a very nice car, fast, comfortable(altough the seating position is a bit too high for my liking)....great sound system, exhaust sounds really nice, and the rims that come with it are very nice also.

i hope this short write-up helps with your decision a bit. i think there is a newer model se-r coming out soon.....orrr you could wait for the 2007 acura tl type-s

lol.

Yeah it was the Altima SE-R. The guy riding with us had a Sentra SE-R and he video taped it on his phone, i'll try to get a copy of it.

Sounds about right.. they weight about the same as a 350z and they are slightly de-tuned... VERY quick for a family sedan though.. most people really underestimate these cars
