I have to take it easy, my car still makes that weird "metal breaking apart" sound in Vtec...........I dont think its detonation, car still pulls hard and plugs look fine, and with the amount of street racing I do if it was detonation so bad that I can hear it in 3rd gear WOT at redline I am sure my motor would have blown up by now, but I have turned the Boost down to 7psi until I can get it re-tuned with Meth

maybe the noise is my MBC?

What style and manufacture mbc makes a clicking noise? What volume clicking noise? All the mbc does is regulate the pressure going to the wastegate or coming from the wastegate depending on the wastegate youre using.

detonation sounds like shaking a can full of marbles.. maybe an exhaust leak?

I dunnoo I Ordered the AEM METH kit, once thats installed along with a HFC I am going to bring it to a dyno (the one where SPEC OPS has his dyno day) to see what my AFR's are. How will the Meth affect the AFRs though, I would imagine it makes it richer, or does it just allow a leaner condition without detonation?

Meth acts like a second intercooler and further reduces your intake charge temp. But it also displaces air, so it's not as good as a larger I/C or being tuned with E85/race gas. Are you running the stock compression ratio?
