I see a very pretty Viper GTS cruising the spot last night. I finally get next to him and try and talk to him. It was a younger guy, looked mid 20's, maybe older who knows. He gave me the big cold shoulder look. I asked him how many horses he has and instead of replying, he just gave me the hand gesture of 4....5.....0...I guess doing that was supposed scare me away. We went at it, and he jumped first. I gave chase but I couldn't catch him by the time we had to slow down due to traffic, but I was right there. I was like "oh well". I tried to talk to him some more, but he just ignored me. I was trying to compliment the jerk.....But then a couple blocks up, he challenges me again, this time there were more people around us. I got the jump this time and when the N20 hit, he wasn't going no where. I stayed in it in 2nd gear and when he shifted, I was still going. He lost so much ground he just gave up. Oh wow, got my win. Next time, he tried to race me when there was a car a few yards in front of me....He took off, but no sense in me chasing him. I got next to him again. I got the jump, but he could never catch me. He gave up once again. After that he wouldn't even look at me. He just left the cruising spot and never came back that night. I have about 415-420 hp at the crank, and I was spraying a 75 shot. Man, I can't wait til I put in the 100 hp jets. Like I said, I guess him gesturing he had 450 hp was supposed to scare me away, but not someone pushing almost 500 The cool thing is everyone that saw it was coming next to me giving me thumbs up.

 

I get warm and fuzzy feelings when I hear stories like these. Way to bring that jerk back down to Earth!! I can't STAND snobs. Should have followed him while he "slithered" away....

Reminds me of another Viper owner...I'm riding in my friend's 3000GT VR4 and we pull up next to a GTS. Guys in his mid-late 20's with his hot-as-hell girlfriend in the passenger's seat. He commences to talking sh!t..."I've never lost to an import"..."You really wanna race? hahaha"...blah blah blah. So the light starts turning and they both get ready to go...and...it...was...ugly. The VR4 took about 5 cars at the launch (Viper spinning), we took it up to 100 started to slow down and here comes the Viper. Guy pulls up next to us, gives us the finger, and takes off.

It's so great to put cocky f&*s like that in their place...even better to do it in front of their girl. hahahaha

By the way, the VR4 ran a 13.6 at 5800 feet missing second and his car stuttered all the way through second. On the run with the Viper, it ran perfectly.
