It's hard to say I was outdriven, because I was shifting pretty damn good/quick. And the top was up on my S2k. It might have been a little different if there were actually 3 honks, etc. But I can say, I was waiting for the TL-S to go.

I don't know if it was stock, but I would have to say there was at least some kind of intake or exhaust modification, because I have never heard a TL-S like that before.

Either way, after checking older posts on Acurazine, it sounds like the '08 TL-S owners are giving stock/near stock S2k's a run for their money. Sounds like most are pulling a car length or two on S2k's (roll race) once the MANUAL trans 2008 TL-S' hit 4th gear.

Oh well. A loss is a loss.
uh let me ask.

what RPM did u "downshift" into?
what gear?

tl-s is faster from a roll all day at 285 horsepower.

you have rwd and 240
they have fwd (WAYYYY more efficient, they put more percentage of the power to the ground than you)

If you meant "New" TL, they push 300 or 308 HP (highest hp output for honda).

Was it in NJ? If so there's a "murdered out" TL-S around here that has a nice shot of nitrous on it they may give you trouble.

She has also schooled a 05 g35 and an unknown year 350z and an 06 Mustang GT... The damn thing impresses.

It may be time for a Vette...lol

The funny thing is, she bought the S but couldn't learn to drive it without smoking a clutch every time she tried.

Now she thinks she is all bad ass. She doesn't even use the paddles, she just mashes the pedal

2008 TL Type-S has a 3.5L SOHC V-6 equipped with Honda's VTEC variable valve timing system. The V-6 has an output of 286 hp and 256 lb-ft, Front wheel drive.

2009 TL SH-AWD 3.7-liter V-6 SH-AWD, based, VTEC variable timing on the intake and exhaust valves (a first for a SOHC engine) that kicks out 305 horsepower at 6300 rpm and 275 pound-feet of torque at 5000.

Money on the new tl-sh-awd with 305 hp.
