Default ap1 s2000 vs b15 sentra se-r spec v

I was driving in hwy 76 in Oceanside CA on my way to Lowes. So I was waiting for the light to turn green then I noticed a yellow nissan sentra behind me, I assumed it was the spec v se-r just the way it looks. From what I heard they're pretty comparable with the rsx-s but with more tq due to having a 2.5 l motor. So the light turned green and I just took off like how I would normally drive and shifted to 2nd gear at about 20mph and just left it there waiting for the rpms to raise as my speed goes up, and as suspected the sentra took the other lane and punched it right when he had about half a car on me then I also floored it. So it was me and the sentra side by side until about high 3rd gear I started pulling (it was quicker than I expected it to be) at 4th gear I had about 2 cars on him.

ap1- test pipe
b15- I was only able to see an exhaust but it may have more stuff done to it. It sounded pretty beefy

Also if it makes a difference why the outcome was like this. He had a passenger and I had the top down.

i had an 04 spec and it was modded. exhaust sounded way better then my 07 si, much deeper.

the 2.5 has alot more torque down low but falls later on. used to race my buddys modded rsx type s and id pull on him till 3rd then he would catch back up and pass me. similar to what happened in this race lol

Yeah I didn't think they were that quick. I guess a spec v b15 vs a type s dc5 would be a drivers race.

An RSX-S would easily walk a B15 SE-R Spec V. They're fairly slow and that car had more than I/H/E to keep up with you like that even with .5 & the move.

Well if that be the case then they respond good to mods considering its a 17x hp 2.5 il4. if the S can stretch 240hp in a 2.0 il4 theres probably some room for improvement on those 2.5l il4 motors.

Had an 03 specv right before my S.. that little 4 door moves. And everyrace I was in againt a rsx s was a drivers race. Or I.was a fender ahead till 120-125 when you shift to 6th... they fall off. Nissan knows how to make some torquie vhichles. Spevc was awesome for torque. My dad altima ser has sick torque. And now my titan it just has stupid torque.and as for the sound.. they def sound better then any civic or rsx ..but I.wont say they sound better then.the s :-).

I had a Spec V before my S2000 and I know of a few guys that were running 300WHP N/A with the 2.5

Also, the VQ35 was a direct drop-in for the Spec V so a lot of guys were running VQ motors and doing 11-12s quarter miles
