AP1 v. RSX-S
Finally got a chance to run my friend's RSX-S. I basically helped him buy his car so i know all the mods it came with. AEM intake, d/c race header, tanabe exhaust and k-pro. All I have is HKS Intake and HKS exhaust.
Logically he was suppose to beat me but I believe he didn't drive it well.
We did 3 runs. All at 55~mph. Every start I was right below vtec engagement. Top down running on 18's.
1st Run: I was in third and just floored it. I was already pulling away and by 80 was about a bus length, I cut it.
2nd Run: Same thing... I was wondering what gear he was in.
3rd Run: He asked if He should be in 3rd, I said anything near 6krpm. I decided to give him a head start so I honk and waited for him to hit it. Gave him about half a second and punched it. Stopped his advance. Neck and neck till he ran out of revs, he dropped back as I hit 9 and ripped 4th. Clutch slipping, he started to fall back even more and we cut around 110 with me about a car ahead.
I think if he had more practice, we'd be neck and neck all the way.

yah, It would be closer, but you should still beat him I beat a rsx S with basicallyh the same mods when I was stock!

Good kill. You sure he has K-pro? I/H/E and K-pro tuned is around 200whp. Which is close to where you should have in HP. RSX is a 'little' lighter, and you both have similar gearing so it should be a neck/neck race.
He definitely had to be in the wrong gear at 55mph for you to put more than a car on him. 55mph is a close call... if he has K-pro his redline should be raised to at least 8500RPM so 2nd gear (goes to 65mph). But you did say he couldn't drive so again, nice kill
