ap1 vs ap2 me LOST

my car it's stock with only the GReddy Ti-c dual exhaust 70MM, but my friend's 01 Ap1 with his Injen CAI, dual exhaust don't know what brand, but i killed him most likely around the end of the 4th gear to 5th gear, and the only thing i can tell right now is: AP2 FTW

4.44 is the best optimised gearing for an AP1, its the best comprimise between highway pulls and digs. Your average time and speed will be the best at 0-60& quarter mile over stock gearing, 4.56 or 4.77. You will keep up with your AP2 freind with these 4.44 and actualy should slowly walk him beacause of his lower rpm range, he has to shift 3 times to get to 60 and can only do 80max in 3rd. The Ap2 has a lower geard trans to help compinsate for the low torque the s2000 made, they over compinsated a bit I feel with the Ap2 since it has a lower rpm now. This lower gearing in the AP2 tranny equates to a 4.44 gearing in the rear end of an AP1. the problem is the AP2 doesn't pull as far on top with the shorter 8000 rev so it takes more shifts to get to the same speed as the AP1. the AP1 will have an advantage over the AP2 with the same gearing, the extra 5 pounds of torque the f22 makes at low rpm wont make enough difforence at wot to be part of the equation. Especialy since the AP2 weigh about 100 pounds more then an AP1. let me know if you have any questions.

so if you make less power for longer somehow that makes you faster. Go figure
There is no replacement for displacement ap2 FTW the ap2 makes MORE than just 5tq. its 5-10 sometimes more. The entire powerband is beefier. plus is has shorter gearing. woot.
