MY COUSIN JUST BOUGHT A 2004 AUDI TT YESTERDAY. WE WERE ON OUR WAY BACK TO HIS HOUSE AND HE DECIDED TO GET ALITTLE FROGGY. I WAS BEHIND HIM COMING UP ON A HARD LEFTHAND TURN, AS SOON AS HE TURNED HE GUNNED IT.....SO I DOWNSHIFTED TO 2ND TURNED THE CORNER AND GOT ON IT AS WELL. ONCE AROUND THE CORNER HE ALREADY HAD ABOUT TWO CARS ON ME. WHEN I SHIFTED TO 3RD HIS LEAD WAS DOWN TO ABOUT A CAR. FOURTH PUT ME AHEAD HALF A CAR. ONCE I PASSED HE LET OFF. WHEN WE GOT BACK TO HIS HOUSE HE TOLD ME THAT HE DIDN'T REALIZE HOW QUICK S2000S REALLY ARE......GUESS HE DOES NOW. TODAY ONE OF OUR COWORKERS WAS RUNNIN HIS MOUTH ABOUT HOW HE WANTS A CRACK AT BOTH OF OUR CARS AND ALL WE COULD DO WAS LAUGH. HE DRIVES A DEL SOL WITH AN INTAKE AND EXHAUST, WE DON'T EVEN WANT TO WASTE OUR TIME BUT IF HE KEEPS RUNNIN HIS MOUTH SOMEONES GONNA HAVE TO SHUT HIM UP.....RIGHT?

 

sometimes i hear crap about how the s2000 isnt that fast. really, the only cars its usually compared to is the 350z, evo/sti, and more expensive sports or performance-oriented cars. even the fact that it roughly ties the newest mustang GT in a line and kills it in corners rarely comes out. we never talk about the s2000 vs the 328i or hyundai sonata or 3.5L charger. if every car you compare ours to is faster than 90% of cars on the road, i dont care if it doesnt win all the time.

0-60 in 5.4 and a 1/4 mile of 13.8-14.2 @ 98-102 is respectable. an old civic with nothing but a fart pipe isnt in the same league. turbo is a different matter, but that goes both ways.

No I wasn't angry the whole time LOL, I didn't realize they were on

 

sometimes guys get a lil delusion and think that a 13.6-14.0@100-102 car is "slow." its not. in the real world, with whats driving around on local streets, a car that runs those times will beat just about everything it comes across.

sure there are 350z/evo/sti and others that are faster, but for every evo you see there 50 riced out civics that think they can walk anything in site. nothing is more fun then punishing haughy ricer on a nice afternoon.
