I don't really care for Mercedes cars but this one was pretty nice. We went from a highway roll several times (b/t 55-75mph). The guy jumped the start every time, never actually waiting for us to get even. Each time I pulled very slowly on him but was never able to get past him due to traffic. He pulled up next to me at a traffic light and gave complements on the S. I returned the favor (car was much faster then i would have thought) and was on my way. It was nice to actually get someone with a fast car to run against.

 

im tryin to figure this in my head, if it was an 02, it was 355 HP, if it was an 03 or newer it was 493 hp. the early one shouldnt give you much trouble, the later one, sheesh, they rail. ive seen them dead even with c5 Z06. hmmmm, this is gonna have me thinking all day. lates

an S with just a supercharger wont run with a new AMG V8

 

The guy said it had "500 hp". But i can't tell you what year it was. It looked very new and it said V8 Kompressor on the side, but i could be wrong. Either way, it was very close and we only got up to about 130 so he may have pulled more if we did not hit traffic. I make no claims as to having actually beat this guy. It was just a good close race.

Still running 7 lbs. I guess I probably shouldn't have hung with this guy but I did. I can't really explain it. Thats why I posted here to see what everyone thinks.

LOL... when i first read this i didn't realize you were supercharged. I've raced one on the freeway a while ago... and he pulled pretty hard on me. Well.. good kill. none the less

 

Hey, that's why this is Street encounters. Good run! There could be a ton of reasons why the 'faster' car doesn't come out ahead in a spur-of-the moment run between 2 cars from speed A to speed B.
