Default AP1 -vs- Cobalt SS

pulled up behind the cobalt at a red and he starts reving. on the green he takes off and so do i. to bad i missed second. at the next light i pull up beside him as he rolls down his window. i told him he seemed pretty quik. but i missed second. he said thanks . we can go again. so we come to another light (which is at the bottom before a steep hill) only this time hes behind me at the start. he stayed on my bumper till the next light. the hill was bad enough for me. he had the hill to climb and a passenger. now is where the good run starts. the road had opened up another lane so we where able to line up side by side. on the green i got a jump on him, and up til about third i had a little over a car length on him. he was starting to walk up on me. i had to let up for the upcoming traffic. so i gave a friendly wave as he passed. at the next light he turned off so i did not get to ask if he had any mods. i think he would have beat me if we had more open road.

Well then if he didn't have a passenger he would have ate you for lunch. I've never lost to a Cobalt/SS at any speed nor did any Cobalt/SS creep up on me or anything, but I've never raced at modded one either.

He's definitely modded....or it's the driver mod....

There's a factory option for a shorter pulley for $600 odd dollars....keep that in mind.

They're pitiful stock. I test-drove one the other day... Not impressed at all. You need a pulley to really open it up.

Btw, the shorter pulley puts it at about 240 hp. The new 08 models are turbo.

The moment a F/I'd FWD car gets the jump on you from a start is the day you either a) are making too much torque or b) need to hang up your hat with driving. And I know you aren't making shit for torque.

i used to drive one before my s2000 and i had the stg2 option (which consist on a 2.8 pulley reflash and of course a smaller belt) i was doing 8.8 on the 1/8 mile and 13.6 on the 1/4 miles but it is hard to get more hp, alot of people is having trouble reaching 300hp

I had alot of problems with the car and i hated it i only had it for 1 year and had to get a lot of shit fixed

I will never buy a chevy in my life again (except a zo6)
