Default AP1 vs Evo (8?)

my mods are:
Js 60RS fx with test pipe
ARC intake and chamber
kwv2 coils
17x7 17x8 work emotion
ACT clutch
my car weighs 2660 (compared to 2800 [stock ap2] )

Last night (2AM) i was at a red light on Western and a white evo pulls up next to me. From what i saw he had exhaust , a drop, and some black wheels. The driver wouldn't even look at me, being the cocky sti/evo type of driver. The light turns green and we both just creep up until i downshift just a little into 3rd and give a little bit of gas. At this point he is already riding my ass pretty hard. As the road gets opened up and cleaner he moves over a lane to the right, downshift and WOT. i did the same, giving us a pretty even start. i was at about 45mph in 2nd gear .. as we started no one pulled-- but i started pulling in the top end of both 2nd and 3rd gears. (about 7.8-9k) Leaving me 1.5 cars ahead.
We pull up to another red light, this time the driver still isn't looking at me but his window is down. So i roll mine down, and ask, "what u got done to that ?" he replies with an unsatisfied face, " just boltons." well that's what they all say. So we decide to go from a roll--- a 30 mph roll. (my sweet spot 6.5k rpm 1st gear) So 3 honks and we're off , and i immediately jump half a car. Shift to second, (my bad judgment the road was a little wet ) and i can't get traction while the evo pulls back next to me. Now the evo is like not even a fender ahead, i shift to third and start pulling again.. leaving me not even a fender ahead. The race ended at 100 mph with us going neck to neck. This time he looks at me with a more satisfied face, thumbs up-- and we part ways.

i believe i would have beat him by atleast half a car if i hadn't lost so much traction 1st to 2nd.

very good run i had to tell ya`ll.

That evo driver must not be too skilled.Off the line he should have easily gotten the jump and kept building. Good kill non the less. Anything can happen on the street.

I can never understand it.

There is a wealth of cheap parts and knowledge that can make those things fast. I'm convinced that you have to be retarded to drive a slow evo.
