Default AP1 vs HHR (ss?)

i'll start off by saying i've been having problems launching (i think my clutch is starting to go out)

i went on a saturday afternoon cruise, not really looking for trouble, just the joy of the drive. I went on a few back roads, and as i was getting on a four lane , i see a red HHR pass eyeing the hell outta me. So i get on, just going along with traffic, and we come to a light, he waits for me to pass him, then the next thing i know i get a ricer flyby.
I figure what the hell i'll catch up, i get on side at about 55, he's eyeing again, i drop to second, hit it and pass him like he was still, we come to another light from a dig i got beat on the jump, but at around 7500rpm i catch up and by the time i hit second i'm gone

we came up to another redlight and the guy doesn't even look at me

it did have the ss badge on the hatch, are these really that slow?

yep. since it is running the sky redline motor and you beat it that bad, it must weigh a lot or you must have some good mods.

I did some research (GOOGLE). It weigh's 3200-3300 pounds and there is a 30HP/TQ difference between the Manual and Automatic? I would assume it runs mid/low 14's in the high 90's.

Sad thing is with some cheap modding it would still bury a S2000.

with a good driver the s2000 can run a 13.7,by no means is the s2000 a fast straight line car but i refuse to say that a hhr wagon is faster. ss or not

Yeah yeah yeah, unfortunately that is when the planets are aligned and Bush is no longer breathing that it runs a 13.7. I wish the few who have ran that time never spoke out because it's now held closely in the hearts of S2000 owners.

Realistically the average driver/conditions will yield low 14'ish/high 90's and you can see this based on that "Post your 1/4" thread that was started recently. So I can say my Evo is a 12 second car because it can run 12.9 stock since it's been done before. Nope.

Refuse to say it all you want. In due time Mini-van's will be faster, that's just the nature of car development. Look at the V6 Camry, a S2000 will not stomp one now days.
