Default AP1 vs. NSX

Just got an oil and spark plug change and was headed to lunch with my friend. He invited one of his buddies to come along who was in possesion of a 97 NSX. NSX had after market exhaust and some Volks. On the way to lunch we ran on the highway from 75-120. I plulled about 1 1/2 - 2 car lenghts on him before breaking for traffic. Very nice car. I feel as though I should have pulled more, but overall I was pleased with the S.

A stock NSX is generally quicker than a boosted S2k?

Yeah I know thats kinda wierd. They are probably only putting down about 260whp max and a stock sc would make around 280whp at least. Plus there is a 400 pound weight difference between the two cars. I don't see why you shouldn't have walked him....O.o

Yes, to a certain extent. You have to also take into consideration the power band of the nsx because I'm pretty sure it is way better then a s/c s2000. But the weight difference and whp difference (20+) is so great that the power band wouldn't help THAT much. For instance, I have 408 whp and 270torque and I raced my friend's 300zx tt with 400whp and 380 torque...those things are freeway MONSTERS because of the beautiful long gears and amazing powerbands. I beat him pretty badly, so why should this case be any different?

Forgot to mention that I was in 4th gear which was not really where I wanted to be, but the whole thing came about kind of fast. Top was also down, though I doubt that made a huge differnce.

Wrong gear, top down.

You left 2-3 car lengths out with that combo.

Still the NSX is just damn sexaaaay!

I couldn't really put the top up since i was on the highway, but starting at about 70 I should have been in 3rd not 4th. Either way I was happy to finally run the S against a worthy car (and win).
