So im cruising down the 405 bout 55-60 mph in 6th gear and a skyline(infinity G35) gets beside me. A few seconds later it drops back almost 2 car lengths then shoots past me... suddently a big smile spreads acros my face( thinking today I race my 1st skyline). The G35 slows down gets next to me starts creeping forward and falling back. I look over and give a nod..... beep,beep,(i go nuetral rev my engine accordingly), beep(I slide into 4th) And both of us take off I carry fourth to redline go into 5th and have at least 2 carlengths on himand we both let off we get beside each other and I look over but he wont look back which makes my smile even bigger =] he turns off at PSU exit and i carry on through portland... Im still a little confused I thought he wouldve had the advantage on the freeway especially on a strait, maybe he had an automatic iono..

.... the G35 is no way considered the skyline of the states. if it was, they would have just called it a skyline.

the new R35 is actually worth the name "Skyline" from Nissan. Same goes any of the R series...

 

Are you modded? Starting in 4th at 55 is not any where near our powerband and he should have jumped ahead I would think. But good run anyway.

no gears completely stock I was surprised 2 He looked stock as well it was slightly down hill but I figured the heavier car(G35) wouldve still been better off

 

Ive raced a G35 before also, and I even gave it a nice head start also, maybe a good 5 or 6 cars ahead of me. That g35 didnt even stand a chance. I dont have much mods done to my car at the time either, just i/e and throttle body.

 

I was expecting a race against an R33 or R34, not a 350z rebadged in luxury trim. Good kill though

 

I encountered a rebadged "skyline" (G35) haha it was single turbo too nothing to play with I like the grill better with the Nissan logo anyway.
