yeah i was coming home from criswell lotus in gaithersburg. almost traded in the s2 for a 06 laser blue lotus elise they wanted a ridiculous amount of money for the car so i just went home to look for 05 elises but after the run in with the e46 i might be keeping my S its more comfortable than the elise. im glad you like all the carbon fiber i was a little skeptical about buying it all but im glad i did. but for weight savings im not sure how much weight i have dropped but its more than i expected. ill probably be going with light weight wheels and racing seats soon then trying to weigh the car instead of dumping money into gettin an elise.

The Elise never felt like a car to me, more like a go-kart, or a toy. It also never felt like a qualitiy piece. The tiny steering wheel bothered me, and so did the fact that I could never get a great seating position. There's no question that it's a better track car, but a more fun to drive car, no way. I've driven a LOT of high-end sports cars, and the S2000 has the best "feel" IMO.
Of course, these are all just my opinions.

I have been in love with the Elise for a LONG time, but after driving the car I much prefer the S2000, and I'm the last person I expected to say that.
