Last night i was driving down central ave. Its a really cruddy road and then a eclipse pulls up, revs, and then takes off. I laugh a bit and then slowly catch up, pass him and turn to the interstate on-ramp. He follows and then gets beside me at the light. I really dont care about what type of care, quality, or whatever. So he has his window down and i roll mine down. Starts asking about all the CF and what not. i herd his blow off valve (aka quief valve) going off so i ask what he has done. "blah blah motor this motor that with this that and the next thing and 18lbs of boost some more stuff" . I know nothing about motors so i say, is it fast and he says it is very fast. asked if i wanted to race. Said yes but only to 100mph before my hood will shake but lets do it.

He inches forward and i try to get my iphone for a video. Light green and he takes off! already 1 car ahead its quiefing like no other! I stomp on it. Second gear at 8k i shift and the back comes loose, get it forward and gun it. At 3rd gear im passing him, 4th he is 2 behind, 5th im in traffic on the interstate, 6th i let off at my max speed.

I was laughing because i thought it was fast but i guess i proved that wrong.

What do you have done? (And whats wrong with BOV's!?)

 

Im all stock motor. Just have a slight advantage over stock s's due to my weight loss of about 250-300lbs (All CF body).

What is BOV's ?

 

BOV=Blow Off Valve. and there is NOTHING wrong with them, although in my opinion diverter valves are silent, only thing i would consider other than that is a synchronic blow off valve...

 

man you make a high 13 second car sound so exciting...didn't think that was possible in a straight line. Going into overdrive after you've already passed that car?? lol what for?

 

i just think BOV's are funny out here in New Mexico because everybody has one one their car and some even have a sound system thing that makes them sound like they have them. , so i call them quief valves because it sounds like the car is quiefing all loud. anyways....

I just thought the event was funny, nothing to be all proud off, but the guy was sooo full of himself so i had to make a point and just ditch him completely. Plus if i were to have stay back and waite for him he would have wanted to "race" again and i reallllly didn't want to since out freeway isn't much better then the cruddy Central ave road.

 

You maxed out 6th gear? woo wee must have been a long run. You know what they say about DSMs,"Never know if you're running a 14sec car or 11sec car, cause they all look the same."

Im not down with the race lingo so i dont know who/what dsm is but im just going to take the hint that was sarcastic and i should stop writing about this event that happened because anything i say will get picked apart.
