Trust me, Audi is not way behind BMW as far as reliability goes.
All i can say is LOL.

That is crap.
Nope...it's not and i will not own another Volkswagen...err I mean Audi because of it. Have u seen the Phaeton? What a joke compared to it's competition...would u choose a Phaeton over a 745?

I don't think my car shares one part in common with ANY VW or Audi product.

VW/Audi their reliability rating and my personal experience with them is less than pleasurable.

I've sold Audi for about 3months. Within that time, you guys don't even want to know how many brand new Audi came back to shop for reliability issues. As small as coilpack failure to major engine issues.

Personally owned 2 VWs in the past and they were complete crap! Had to visit dealership 13times for reliability issues and for that VWoA paid 2months worth of my car payments voluntarily when I asked for them to buy the car back.

Because of that, I will never buy Audi or any VAG product again and I am not the only one.

BMW, I hear less problems with BMW than Audi.
Previous generation S4s have turbo issues. Plenty of people have failed turbos and other electrical issues.

Not to mention TTs. Just do some search on the Internet and see how many hits you see on reliability issues with Audi and VW. You will be surprised.

BMW all the way, I drive a 330i and I haven't had any problems with it what so ever. Audi on the other hand...my boss has an S4, and my friend has the A4...both have had their water pumps go on them.

There is definitely a reliability issue with Audi's...that's one of the reason's why they don't hold their value in the market. Compare buying a used Audi A4 to a 3-series...it's a joke.

Sure, the new S4 is a great ride...but if you want a car that is "fun" to drive, go with the M3 all the way. And I'm sure u will get more looks going down the road in an M3 rather than a 4-door S4.

I'm looking forward to joining the S2000 club in the spring...i'm looking at purchasing a 2002 S.

It is all relative.

My next door neighbor had a LEMON 328i e46 body. He had it in the shop NINE times in less than a YEAR.

My Audi has over 44k on it, chipped since 6k...and has not seen ONE problem.

Say what you will...but I am not going off of message boards on the net (which only get posted to by people with problems..not the ones without probs).

My S4 (Stage 2) has proven WAY more reliable than my neighbor's e46. That is a fact.

Peace.
