back again
3rd gear roll 55 mph had him by 2 cars by 5th he honked it off. we ran again this time clutch got hot started slipping bad in the end of 4th and 5th gear ended up dead even before I let off and we hit traffic! Those things can move.

I'm guess somewhere around 285 whp
I don't think you would be putting car lengths on the "V" with those numbers.
When I was stock I had a CTS pull on me ever so slowly. They have a 3.6 v6 making 255hp 252tq. If you put 2 car lengths on the guy it doesn't sound like a CTSV, those things aren't slow (same motor as the C6 Vettes).
I have to agree...if u were in 3rd gear at 55mph even with SC you don't have alot of grunt. You are substantially lighter than a CTS-V but they have a sizeable torque advantage and probably50+RWHP advantage. Maybe he just left it in 6th to see what would happen...

Are you sure it wasn't a CTS?

The story goes, "3rd gear roll 55 mph had him by 2 cars by 5th"
"By 5th", sounds like after redlining 4th, he shifted to 5th and shut down. With 4.77's in an AP2 that's 85mph. If he pulled 2 car lengths between 55 and 85, that's not a close race, at all. There's no way a SC S2000 is going to pull that hard on a 400hp CTSV, I don't care what kind of gears you have
It does seem fairly reasonable if it was a regular CTS.
