I was leaving the gym Saturday and followed a 2002 Black Z06. We were stopped on a sideroad waiting for the light to turn, the light turns green and we both turn left on a fairly major highway, 3 lanes both directions. Due to other traffic, we are both in the left hand lane and come to a red light. He pulls off (as the light changes) casually, I gave it a little too much gas and lit up the rear tires. As soon as he heard my tires squeal, he punched it but it was too late. I pulled by and continued to pull on him. We were stopped side by side at the next light. It was an older gentleman (late 40's early 40's) and an attractive older lady with him. They rolled down the window (my top was down) and said nice car, I asked if it was a 2001 or a 2002 and they replied a 2002. The light was getting ready to change, they looked over, gave me a thumbs up and revved to let me know we were going to go again. I was prepared to lose, even as fast as my car is know I did not expect to beat the 405 hp Z06 out of the hole, boy was I wrong. He pulled a little initially but by the time I was shifting into second I was pulling away hard. He shut down around 80 mph at which point I had several car lengts already. We were fortunate enought to stop again at the next light and again he rolled down the window and said that he didn't realize those cars were that fast and I replied there not, it's not stock. Again the light turns and again the same thing happens, really made my day. I have to get to the track before winter sets in, I'm sure I have to be running 11's.

I run 8 psi pretty much all of the time now. I have pretty close to 3,500 miles since the turbo install and everything is still pretty much perfect. Car idles great, drives fine around town and turns into a monster at will. The only problems I've been having lately are traction due to the somewhat cooler temps. I was really surprised at the ease at which I pulled away. Only have two weeks left to go to the track but I'll definitely post some times as soon as I get them.

congrats!!!!!!!!! I am speechless.....I know it takes a lot of power to beat those cars......if you beat him THAT bad, you must be running 11's.......I am running 12'4 on my Z and I am beating them barely by 1-3 cars on the 1/4 mile............at first I thought you must be full of shit but with a big turbo then that could be a different story.............NEED MORE DETAILS!!!!!!!!
