Default Beat Mustang GT

He came next to me and revved his exhaust (modified), was at around 18 mph, I put in first, we started at almost the same time with him just a moment earlier, I pulled a car and a half until end of 2nd, was pulling more in 3rd and I shut down right before 80 due to traffic. I had a 230 pound passanger and he was alone. I was also running with the airbox cover off. These cars are a joke for all that torque.

then he couldn't drive. A stock 99-04 Mustang GT is going to run door to door with a stock S2000, and with mods, the GT will easily pull ahead - mods on a Mustang actually add power. How do you know the exhaust was aftermarket?

You must have a factory freak. I weigh 215 and had a 170 pound passenger in my car and ran even with that model GT from 45 to 90.

Put that thing on a dyno man.

Are you serious?....No a stock mustang gt stick or auto anything wont run door to door with an S...the S will walk it each and every time with ease....Dont let the TQ fool you, they run 15's. But they do respond rather well to mods...I raced an 89 gt with intake, headers, exhaust, intake manifold, and on radials...He jumped me off the line and I waxed his ass HORRIDLY! By horridly I mean It looked like he wasnt even moving...Do a search I did a right up on it.

I can even link you to the post to where he read it and said "yeah...he waxed my ass just like he said"

The post was linked to www.msunderground.com..I will find it.
Any year GT is capable of 14s besides maybe the 94-98 MYs. The 99-04 (I assume that's what he raced) is on par with the S2000 with low 14 second runs trapping at about 100mph.

Nice run.

My exprinces with stangs have been similair, rolls or from a dig. GT's, sticks, I generally can pull on them in any gear (when stock as well, my s2k that is)- I honestly believe alot of it is driver, in my area plenty of people have the car very few know how to drive it.

The only times I lost a run to any mustangs are when they are sooo much faster then me I had no bis playing. I have not had many encounters since my CAI and exhaust.
