I only raced my stock s2000 a couple times, and they were all from a rolling start. I'm just curious how to launch from a dead stop. I know if you just dropped the clutch at around 5, you'll get this jerky motion, which i don't think will help you win. If anyone can give me some advise on how they find it best to launch. Then i'll show them who's boss.lol, thanks alot!!!

rev to around 6-7k depending on road surface..dump teh clutch...very important...do no..i repeat..do not feather the clutch you will burn it up...feather gas pedal to reduce spin..and then floor it and shift fast!!

If you go to the Car Talk forum, do a search on "launching". You will find many threads covering it. Good luck.
